Historic District Walking Tour

Take a walk through the renovated 12-acre Historic District at Crystal Cove State Park every third Sunday of the month (excluding December) 12:00-2pm.  Former life-long resident Laura Davick will share stories about the colorful past of the Cove including the history, its rescue, and the plans for restoring the remaining 17 cottages.  Park at Los Trancos parking lot then cross PCH at the signaled intersection and walk across the marked pathways and meet at the bluff top deck of the overnight…

Tidepool Walk to Little Treasure Cove

Enjoy a guided tidepool walk to Little Treasure Cove on Monday, January 21 at 1:30pm when the tide will fall to a -2.0, the LOWEST tide of the entire year.  A volunteer will help identify animals and describe some awesome adaptations.  Meet at Pelican Point parking lot #1, (PCH turn coastward at Newport Coast, right at the kiosk to the end.)  Tennis shoes suggested.  $15 day-use parking fee.

Ancient Volcanoes Geology Walk

Join a park volunteer on an Ancient Volcanoes Hike in the backcountry of Crystal Cove State Park & explore several of the parks volcanic features on Saturday, January 26 from 1-3pm.  Learn about the land/seascape setting 10-11 million years ago and then head out to observe some volcanic sites in the park.  Meet at the Berns Amphitheater (PCH inland at stoplight School-State Park.)  $15 day-use fee.
