You and your family are invited to help us protect Crystal Cove State Park’s ecosystems. Join us on the second Saturday of each month to volunteer on conservation projects in the Park.the event is free with prior registration. Please check back for dates.
Founder's Historic District Walking Tour
Once a month, Laura Davick, former life-long resident of the Historic District and Crystal Cove Conservancy’s Founder, guides visitors through Crystal Cove’s history, its rescue, and future plans for Crystal Cove State Park.
The two-hour walking tour meets at 12 PM on the bluffside deck outside the overnight rental check-in office. Check back for dates.
Sea Glass Wrapping
Normally on Wednesdays,, visitors can stop into the Education Commons in the Historic District to learn about the art of wrapping sea glass. This event is unfortunately postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19.
Art in the Park Spring Celebration
The shimmering ocean and rolling hillsides of Crystal Cove State Park have long inspired artists to paint, write, photograph, compose, tell stories, dance, and sketch. Be it a watercolor, a dance, or a musical composition, artists from different genres continue to be inspired by the beauty of the park and the spectacular landscapes, breathtaking scenery, and abundant gifts from nature. Plein Air Art Classes
Crystal Cove State Park has a long history of plein air artists painting and preserving its beautiful landscapes. Now you can be a part of this 100-year-old tradition! Spend a relaxing day with one of Crystal Cove State Park’s plein air artists while capturing the beauty of the Cove on canvas. No experience required. Workshops are available both for novice adult painters and for families.

Movie Nights on the Beach
Normally during the summer, Crystal Cove Conservancy hosts fun and historic movies on a giant inflatable screen outside the Historic District’s “Beaches” Film & Media Center! Learn about Crystal Cove’s role in the early film industry as you relax on the sand and enjoy a one of a kind movie-going experience.
