Parking Information

Open and Closing Times

  • The Los Trancos Parking lot is open from 6AM to 10PM.
  • All other lots are open 6AM to sunset.

Day Use Fees

  • Regular: $5 per hour / $15 daily max.
  • Senior: $5 per hour / $15 daily max.
  • Disabled: $5 per hour / $15 daily max.
  • Holiday Rate: $20
    • Holiday Rate days vary and are subject to change.
    • For the most up to date parking info contact Crystal Cove State Park at (949) 494-3539.
  • Validation: Overnight guests of the Beach Cottages receive parking validation. Beachcomber diners who spend $15 or more also receive parking validation.

Los Trancos Parking Lot

General Information

If you wish to visit the Historic District, the Park Store, the Beachcomber Café and/or the Cottages, we suggest parking at the Los Trancos parking lot.

Directions

From the North: Drive southbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Newport Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District and Los Trancos parking lot is located at the Crystal Cove/Los Trancos intersection, which is the first traffic light south of Newport Coast Drive. Turn left at the intersection into the Los Trancos parking lot.

From the South: Drive northbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Laguna Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District and Los Trancos parking lot is located at the Crystal Cove/Los Trancos intersection, which is the first traffic light after the Crystal Cove Shopping Center. Turn right at the intersection into the Los Trancos parking lot.

Once you enter the Los Trancos parking lot, take a ticket from the ticket kiosk and park. Day use fees can be paid at the kiosk near the bus stop or at the main kiosk when you exit the parking lot in your vehicle.

To get to the Historic District from the Los Trancos Parking Lot:

The Beachcomber Café Shuttle

  • Runs daily from 7am-10pm.
  • Cost: $1.50 per person
  • Kids 12 and under can ride for free
  • Persons with disabilities can ride free of charge (the shuttle is equipped with a wheelchair lift).

By Trail

  • A ½ mile walking trail leads to the Historic District.
  • The entrance is located near the bus shelter on the southern end of the lot. Follow signage to the tunnel crossing under Pacific Coast Highway, and then proceed through it to the Historic District. (Due to the incline, wheelchair users may prefer to take the shuttle.)
  • Near the Historic District a limited number of Beach Wheelchairs are available to the public at no cost.

Parking Availability

  • In the Los Trancos Parking Lot: 444 available Parking Spots, Including 11 Disabled Parking Spots
  • In the Historic District: 5 Disabled Parking Spots.

Additional Parking

Temporary 15 minute parking is available outside of the check-in office to those checking into one of our Beach Cottages.

If you are driving southbound on PCH, turn right at the intersection, tell the State Parks staff member at the kiosk that you are checking in, and then follow the signs to Cottage Check-In lot. , If you are driving northbound on PCH, turn left at the light. This fifteen-minute parking lot is only available for guests who are checking in. Once checked in, you will need to relocate your vehicle to the Los Trancos lot. Any vehicles who are not checking in or who exceed the 15 minutes will be ticketed and/or towed!

Pelican Point Parking Lots

General Information

If you wish to visit the beach, the Historic District, the Park Store, the Beachcomber Café and/or the Cottages, we suggest parking at one of the Pelican Point lots.

Directions

From the North: Drive southbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Newport Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Pelican Point P-Lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Newport Drive. Turn left at the intersection towards the beach and into the parking lot.

From the South: Drive northbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Laguna Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Pelican Point P-Lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Newport Drive. Turn right at the intersection towards the beach and into the parking lot.

    • In P-Lot #1: 59 Parking Spots are available
      • Including 2 ADA Parking Spots
    • In P-Lot #2: 59 Parking Spots are available
      • Including 2 ADA Parking Spots
    • In P-Lot #3: 60 Parking Spots are available

    • In P-Lot #4: 60 Parking Spots are available

Reef Point Parking Lot

General Information

If you wish to visit the Beach or hike through El Moro Canyon, we suggest parking at one of the Reef Point Parking Lots.

Directions

From the North: Drive southbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Newport Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Reef Point parking lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Reef Point Drive. Turn left at the intersection towards the beach and into the parking lot.

From the South: Drive northbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Laguna Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Reef Point parking lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Reef Point Drive. Turn right at the intersection towards the beach and into the parking lot.

    • In the Reef Point Upper Lot: 162 Parking Spots are available
      • Including 3 ADA Parking Spots
    • In the Reef Point Lower Lot: 160 Parking Spots are available
      • Including 3 ADA Parking Spots

Moro Canyon Parking Lots

General Information

If you wish to hike through Moro Canyon and/or visit the Beach, we suggest parking at one of the El Moro Canyon Parking Lots.

The Moro Canyon Parking Lots are located near the Moro Campgrounds off of PCH

Parking at El Morro Elementary School is PROHIBITED!

From the North: Drive southbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Newport Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park El Moro Canyon parking lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and School/State Park. Turn right at the intersection towards El Moro Elementary School.

From the South: Drive northbound on Pacific Coast Highway from Laguna Beach. The entrance to the Crystal Cove State Park Reef Point parking lots is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and School/State Park. Turn left at the intersection towards El Moro Elementary School.

Parking Availability

  • In the Lower Moro Lot by the beach: 112 Parking Spots are available
    • Including 2 ADA Parking Spots
  • In the Lower Moro Lot by the Berns Environmental Study Loop: 201 Parking Spots are available
    • Including 11 ADA Parking Spots
