Join us on the outdoor deck of the Park Interpretive Store in the Crystal Cove Historic District for Meet the Artist: Gobind Boyes. Attendees will get the special opportunity to meet with Gobind and watch as she paints a masterpiece right before your eyes!

Gobind has always had a love for the ocean and gardens. She started painting the rolling hills of Southern California as a child. Growing up in a family that appreciated art, she graduated from California State University Long Beach in Art. Gobind worked for many years in retail advertising as an illustrator and production artist before leaving to raise two children. Outside of mom activities she found time to create printed products of her watercolors and sold them at several local gift stores. By 2004, she started painting seascapes in oil and was inspired by an art teacher that said her work was reminiscent of 19th century paintings. Then later joined local artist organizations that she enjoyed Plein air painting, shows and sales events. Although she still loves Plein air painting, painting in layers of colors in old master style is most inspiring.
