Great Plein Air Art Experience
Crystal Cove State Park has a long history of plein air artists painting and preserving its beautiful landscapes. Every summer, you can be a part of this 100-year-old tradition. Spend a relaxing day with one of Crystal Cove State Park’s plein air artists while capturing the beauty of the Cove on canvas. No experience required; this introductory class is recommended for novices only. Summer dates announced at the end of April.
Family Plein Air Art Exploration
These fun family workshops are intended for parents, grandparents, and children ages 8 and up. During this three-hour program, family teams will explore the basics of plein air painting, and then each family member will create their own masterpiece that captures the summer spirit of the Cove. Art in the Park Spring Celebration
The shimmering ocean and rolling hillsides of Crystal Cove State Park have long inspired artists to paint, write, photograph, compose, tell stories, dance, and sketch. Be it a watercolor, a dance, or a musical composition, artists from different genres continue to be inspired by the beauty of the park and the spectacular landscapes, breathtaking scenery, and abundant gifts from nature. On Saturday, March 30 from 10-4 in the Historic District come join Crystal Cove State Park and Crystal Cove Conservancy for a spring art show and Art in the Park a day filled with activities that celebrate the integration of art and nature through workshops, performances, and activities.
