Erin Andreatta
Program Manager, Advocacy & Public Programs
Erin Andreatta is a conservation biologist and programs manager at Crystal Cove Conservancy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University in the city of New York.
With nearly 15 years of conservation experience in Orange County, Erin has worked across a wide range of habitats, from coastal tidepools and beaches to canyons, open spaces, and native plant communities. Her career began with the Catalina Island Conservancy, where she supported restoration and wildlife monitoring across the island’s rugged interior. She went on to serve as a Natural Resource Manager with California State Parks, a Tidepool Educator with Laguna Ocean Foundation, and later as Invasive Species Program Manager with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy, overseeing large-scale stewardship programs across thousands of acres of protected land.
Since 2023, Erin has overseen the Conservancy’s public programming, coordinating experiences that bring the Park to life, from beloved community traditions like Movies on the Beach, the annual tree lighting, and plein air art workshops to speaker events, and hands-on ecology hikes. Her favorite Cove moment is watching participants’ faces brighten with curiosity and excitement as they discover something new and unforgettable about the Park’s unique ecosystems. On a more personal note, her most memorable Cove experience was quietly observing a dramatic 15-minute encounter between a southern Pacific rattlesnake and a red-tailed hawk, a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting and restoring the wild beauty of Crystal Cove.
Outside of her work, Erin’s adventurous spirit takes her across the globe backpacking, scuba diving, and exploring wild places. She has a special love for the natural world and an affinity for summiting mountains in her adventure sandals.
