Join CCA for SnapshotWaterTHROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MARCH, CRYSTAL COVE ALLIANCE IS STUDYING THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER IN THE PARK AND INVITES EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE VIA AN INNOVATIVE INSTAGRAM SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN.
Water plays a critical role in Crystal Cove’s ecosystems. In recognition of the significant role it plays, CCA is launching an exciting social media campaign for the month of March, inviting Park visitors to become citizen scientists and helping to capture “snapshots” of water in all of its different forms. Anyone with an Instagram account can participate by tagging your post with #snapshotWATER and #crystalcovealliance—if you don’t have an account, you can sign up for free and join in as we use water as a lens to study the Park.
Need tips for getting started? Click the link below for insight from CCA’s resident photographer, J. Christopher Launi, and view a sampling of five images that showcase the five catergories: Running and Standing Water, Condensation, Lost Signs of Water (e.g. erosion), Inclement Weather (water with attitude!), and the Surf and Sea.
Don’t forget to post throughout March—CCA’s favorite images will be reposted to our Instagram gallery, and select photographs will become part of the snapshotWATER photo exhibition in Cottage #46 alongside professional images from Chris Launi (pictures below).
