THE BERNS ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY LOOP DEBUTED AT THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY TO RAVE REVIEWS.The Berns Environmental Study Loop in Moro Canyon is now open to the public! Visitors were welcomed to the ESL on Feb. 1 for the grand opening celebration, where they had an opportunity to explore a half-mile ADA accessible loop trail, amphitheater, student pavilion and eight citizen science learning stations on topics such as water, birds, weather and native wildlife. In addition, guests enjoyed an original musical composition from Pamela A. Madsen, a Cal State Fullerton professor of music and composition/music theory. Pamela combined her passion for music with her love for Crystal Cove to compose the three-movement piece “Faraway (Within),” performed at the opening by the Laguna Beach Concert band. CCA thanks everyone who was able to come by and celebrate with us, and invites you to be among the first to view photos of the space taken at the opening—we hope to see you all there soon!
