How do I book a cottage?

Reservations can be made through our State mandated reservation system, Reserve California, seven days a week between 8AM-6PM PST (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). You must create a profile at ReserveCalifornia.com prior to reserving a cottage or call (800) 444-7275.

Take a look at our step-by-step visual guide showing the process of booking a cottage through Reserve California.

What are the best tips & tricks for booking a cottage?

Check out our one page reservation guide for quick tips on booking a cottage stay!

  • Cottage reservations are released daily, six months in advance. We recommend logging in to your Reserve California account before 8AM to book newly released dates and be ready to refresh the screen.
  • If it looks like everything is booked, then it likely is. Hundreds of people are also trying to book open dates. Keep trying every morning and you’ll eventually grab your spot!
  • Try looking for a cancellation instead. Someone who booked a cottage months ago might not be able to make their scheduled dates and end up cancelling their reservation. Try scanning the calendar for upcoming dates to see if anything has opened up. You can do this at any time of day, not just 8AM!
  • Visit the Cottage #35 Check-in Office for last-minute cancellations. At 11AM each morning, we will know of any cottages that had a same-day, last minute cancellation and are not available online.

How do I cancel my reservation?

All cancellations and refunds are handled through Reserve California. They can be reached at (800) 444-7275 or through the website.
