- Complete any four Explorer activities on the Explorer Card — or choose your own from wherever you are that reflect your love for parks, nature, or the ocean — plus make a year-end donation by 12/31/2025.
- Snap a photo of your favorite spark moment (with your Explorer Card in the photo).
- Share your photo on social media using #ParkPeople and tag @crystalcoveconservancy.
- Drop off your Explorer Card at The Conservancy Store or email a photo of your completed Explorer Card to development@crystalcove.org by 12/31/2025 to receive a token of thanks.
- All Explorers who make a year-end donation of $100 or more by 12/31/2025 will be entered into an opportunity drawing for the Ultimate Explorer Package! The winner will be announced in January 2026.

The Park People Explorer Game is a self-guided invitation to spark curiosity, explore nature, and celebrate the magic of Crystal Cove. Each square on your Explorer Card highlights a moment of discovery — from tidepools to history to stewardship. Complete four activities and make a year-end donation, and you’ll receive a participation gift and the chance to win our Ultimate Explorer Package.
Each completed Explorer Card earns a special thank-you: a Park People Sticker Sheet featuring custom Crystal Cove–inspired illustrations. Use them on your water bottle, journal, or travel gear as a reminder to keep exploring and keeping the spark alive all year long.
Valued at over $400, this one-of-a-kind Crystal Cove Conservancy package is designed to spark wonder and deepen your connection to this extraordinary place. The Ultimate Explorer Package includes a “California Explorer” Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass (parking pass accepted at all California State Parks), an Osprey backpack, a curated Crystal Cove Conservancy gift bundle, and a choice of either a private plein air art lesson, a customized backcountry hike or tidepooling experience guided by our education team.
No. If you lost your card or prefer a digital version, simply save the Park People Explorer Card image on this website to your local device. If you are unable to save the image online, email development@crystalcove.org and we’ll send you a printable copy.

Not at all. While we hope some of your adventures bring you to the Cove, you’re welcome to choose your own activities wherever you live. Anything that reflects your love for the outdoors — a hike, a stewardship act, a moment of wonder — counts.

Local Explorers can pick up their sticker pack at The Conservancy Store in the Historic District beginning on December 10, 2025. Out-of-area Explorers can email a photo of their completed card to development@crystalcove.org, and we’ll mail your sticker pack to you.
Absolutely! Families or groups can explore together, but each Explorer Card turned in counts as one entry.
All completed cards submitted with a year-end donation by December 31, 2025, will be entered into the opportunity drawing. The winner will be announced in January 2026 and notified directly.
No — you do not need to be present to win.
You’re always welcome to complete the activities for fun, but only cards submitted by December 31, 2025 are eligible for the participant prize and drawing.
