ENJOY A GREAT MEAL ON THE BEACH AT COTTAGE #15 (THE BEACHCOMBER CAFÉ).
The Beachcomber Café is housed in a historic bungalow once known as the Whistle Stop cottage. Today, more than 150,000 people annually can enjoy a casual meal on the beach. Though tables fill up quickly, general manager Chris Seevers offers a few hot tips for getting a different kind of cottage reservation.
• A limited number of reservations are offered directly from thebeachcombercafe.com website. Additionally, all the information you need about directions, parking and menus is right there at the click of a button.
• Don’t be discouraged if you can’t get a reservation—The Beachcomber holds an unusual number of seats (up to 70 percent) for walk-up guests hoping to get a table.
• Wait times are, of course, much shorter off-season than in summer. Some locals know to arrive between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner to have even shorter waits.
