SUMMARY:Welcome to Project Crystal- In-Person Training in Moro Canyon
DESCRIPTION:During Project Crystal\, 5th-grade students are invited to take part in ecological research in Moro Canyon!  As your students help Crystal Cove Conservancy\, Crystal Cove State Park\, and UC Irvine study the best way to restore native habitats\, they’ll learn about concepts like plant ecology\, food web interactions\, and how we can use science ideas to protect our wild places. This program is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards for fifth grade. The curriculum includes six learning modules\, each with 2-3 hours of flexible activities to incorporate into your classroom. \nJoin us from 9 am-2 pm in Moro Canyon for a professional development workshop for teachers participating in the Project Crystal 5th grade program for the 2023-2024 school year. Learn about the new research project that students will be studying this year\, and how to incorporate the curriculum into your classroom.  \nLearn more about Project Crystal by checking out last year’s project here! \nAdvance registration is required.
