Backcountry Navigation with Map & Compass – REI

During this field outing, our instructors will help you understand the information provided on your map, the proper use of your compass, and how to put the two together. You’ll learn about magnetic north, true north, and magnetic variation (declination). Trailside Chat

Family Nature Hike

Fall is an exciting time to learn about our local nature.  Join park naturalists on a family nature hike at Crystal Cove State Park to learn about the plants and animals living in the park on Saturday, October 5 or Sunday, October 20 at 9am.  Meet at the Berns Amphitheater (PCH inland at stoplight School-State Park follow the signs to the Campground/Moro day use.)  $15 day-use fee.

Historic District Tour

Take a walk through the renovated 12-acre Historic District at Crystal Cove State Park.
