Field Science Saturday – Snapshot Cal Coast Intertidal Bioblitz
June 8 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Help us learn more about life in Crystal Cove’s coastal ecosystems by participating in Snapshot Cal Coast on June 8th from 8:30-10:30 am!
We will be heading to our beach and tidepools to participate in Snapshot Cal Coast, a state-wide coastal bioblitz! A bioblitz is an attempt to document as many species as possible in a particular time and place. Snapshot Cal Coast participants will be documenting marine life in every Marine Protected Area in California!
We will be recording observations with the iNaturalist app. To contribute data at the event, download the iNaturalist app and make an account before coming to the park. More info about getting started with iNaturalist can be found here!
Meet in the Historic District Education Commons in Crystal Cove State Park at 8:30 am on Saturday, June 8th.
Bring your smart phone with the iNaturalist app downloaded (or digital camera), and document as many species as you can find!
Event is free; $15 day use fee required per vehicle
