Sea glass wrapping is an activity that many visitors of Crystal Cove State Park get to experience throughout the year. Participants join Rick Boufford as he teaches them about the history of sea glass and how to masterfully wrap it to create a one-of-a kind piece of jewelry. This summer, we want to be able to bring his expertise and knowledge of sea glass into your home so that you can create your very own beautiful piece of sea glass jewelry! Below you will find a few steps with instructional videos to get you started!

Finding Sea Glass

Sea glass comes in a variety of shapes and colors that can be found all along the coast of Crystal Cove. Knowing where to look for sea glass can help you obtain pieces of your own. To learn some tips and tricks on where to look for sea glass, join Crystal Cove’s resident sea glass expert Rick as he demonstrates how to hunt for sea glass.

Although sea glass is fun to find, we understand that not everyone has the ability to go to Crystal Cove to find their own pieces of sea glass. If you would still like to make your own sea glass jewelry with sea glass found on Crystal Cove’s beaches, you can still do so by getting your own sea glass jewelry making kit!
