Orange County’s schools are filled with talented students, but not all of them have access to the experiences that inspire them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). By subsidizing the cost of field trips and meals for students from Title I schools, together we make it possible for them—9,000 just this year—to dream bigger than they ever knew they could!
Crystal Cove’s 3.2 miles of sandy beaches, 2,800 acres of bluff and backcountry habitats, and the 1,100-acre offshore marine protected area make an ideal outdoor classroom where budding environmentalists discover that the best way to learn science is by doing science.
Crystal Cove Conservancy provides life-changing educational opportunities to students from all walks of life. Our ladder of K-12 environmental literacy programs exposes them to opportunities in STEM careers they didn’t know existed. Students coming to Crystal Cove learn alongside working scientists and engineers—and the data they gather contributes to research, environmental monitoring, and ecological restoration projects. They aren’t just watching science in action—they’re doing it.
Your gift today will help the future!
Your support will allow us to bring more students to Crystal Cove, where they’ll fall in love with nature, learn that anyone can be a scientist, and join the ranks of environmental leaders who will protect Crystal Cove and places like it for generations to come.
