Crystal Cove Soiree – Sat., October 7 – 5pm, Blufftop, Crystal Cove State Park
Our annual Soiree is an opportunity for those who love Crystal Cove to come together one night of the year to support our mission and unique education programs, which engage students from 5th grade through high school in authentic science within the park.
Kick off the evening with a sunset cocktail reception on the bluff top at Crystal Cove State Park, with tray-passed hors d’ oeuvres from The Resort at Pelican Hill. Enjoy spending time with friends and bidding on your favorite silent auction items while watching the sun dip beyond the beautiful horizon.
Following the reception, guests will move into the open-air tent, beneath the moonlit sky, for a delectable three-course meal beginning with a duet of Filet Mignon and Maine Lobster presented by the culinary team from our title sponsor, The Resort at Pelican Hill. Guests will enjoy an exciting live auction featuring luxury getaways and priceless experiences, then dance the night away with Super Diamond, The Neil Diamond Tribute Band.
Support from our donors allows students to take part in citizen science on the water in Crystal Cove’s Marine Protected Area, in the backcountry at the Berns Environmental Study Loop, and along the shoreline at the Park and Marine Research Facility in Crystal Cove State Park’s Historic District. The opportunity for a student to visit the beach, possibly for the first time, and become a citizen scientist while discovering a new passion in marine biology or environmental science is truly priceless.
