Consider Becoming a Member of Crystal Cove Conservancy
With spring in the air, there is a sense of renewal throughout all of Crystal Cove. Our 2,400 protected acres of backcountry are in bloom with a bounty of butterflies and birds. Our 1,150-acre offshore underwater park creates a peaceful pathway for migrating gray whales. With the days becoming longer and the sun dipping below the Pacific later, there are more hours of daylight to make cherished memories with loved ones at our singular, unchanged pocket of paradise.
Crystal Cove Conservancy prides itself on its members. You are our friends, keepers, stewards, protectors, guardians and conservators. It is only with your support that we can protect this precious open space, preserve the one-of-a-kind historic cottages and educate the next generation of environmental leaders.
In the spirit of renewal, we invite you to join us today and enjoy the many benefits and discounts Crystal Cove Conservancy memberships have to offer:
- Enjoy a summer movie on the beach with your toes in the sand and popcorn in hand with our members-only treat bags.
- Meet fellow members and our esteemed team of educators on our annual whale watching cruise.
- Sip a historic cocktail at The Beachcomber on us.
- Receive a discount on the perfect keepsake at The Park Interpretive Store.
- Release your inner artist and sign up for a plein air art class at a discounted rate.
As members of The Conservancy, you are an integral part of helping us achieve our mission of:
Preservation – To date, twenty-nine of the forty-six cottages in the Historic District have been fully restored. With Coastal Commission approval and permits in hand, we are focused on raising the funds to restore the remaining seventeen cottages along the North Beach.
Conservation – We are continuously working to protect our coastal habitat, beaches, tidepools and our offshore Marine Conservation Area by working in partnership with California State Parks and University of California, Irvine.
Education – With your help, last year we were able to immerse 4,500 students in Crystal Cove Conservancy’s educational programs – a 36% increase from the year prior. We are uniquely positioned as a frontline laboratory for sea level rise and coastal erosion, creating an outdoor classroom for students to explore the effects of our changing environment in real world conditions.
